LA International EVOOC

The Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition (EVOOC) is a major global contest that evaluates and awards the highest quality olive oils. A judging panel of international experts conducts blind tastings to assess each oil on a 100-point scale, considering attributes like fruitiness, bitterness, pungency, and harmony. The competition awards Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, as well as “Best of Class” and “Best of Show” for top-scoring entries in various categories, including domestic and international, monovarietal and blend, and different intensity levels (delicate, medium, and robust). Beyond the quality of the oil itself, the competition also recognizes packaging design. Winning a medal is a significant achievement that helps producers gain recognition in the North American market and beyond.
