Great Taste Awards

The Great Taste Awards, often called the “Oscars of the food world,” is a widely recognized UK-based competition that judges a huge range of food and drink products, including olive oil. The judging process is completely blind; samples are stripped of all branding and packaged with a code, ensuring the focus is solely on taste. A diverse panel of judges, including chefs, food critics, buyers, and retailers, evaluates the oils based on their flavor, aroma, texture, and overall quality. Products are awarded one, two, or three stars, with three stars being the highest honor. The feedback from the judges is a valuable part of the process, even for products that don’t receive an award.
