AIPO d'Argento

The AIPO d’Argento is an Italian olive oil competition, also known as the “Silver AIPO” competition, organized by the Interregional Association of Olive Producers (AIPO). It is a well-regarded international contest that aims to promote the best olive oil production. The competition evaluates extra virgin olive oils in various categories, including those with Protected Designation of Origin (DOP/PGI), organic, monovarietal, and blends. A panel of professional tasters uses a rigorous evaluation system to assess the oils. Awards are given in different levels, such as “Goccia d’Oro” (Gold Drop), “Goccia d’Argento” (Silver Drop), and “Goccia di Bronzo” (Bronze Drop) based on the scores achieved.
