The program has included different practical and informative activities: tasting exercises, tastings, debates and cooking classes given by prestigious chefs have been just some of the actions that, for two days, have featured olive oil, a basic ingredient in the Mediterranean diet but whose potential is still untapped outside these countries.

And for teaching on production, a small demonstration garden and a small orchard were incorporated into the facilities where the students were simulated how a harvest would be carried out.
The executive director of the Olive Center has placed special emphasis on the age of the attendees, never older than 30, given that, once this barrier is overcome, “”it is more difficult to train to detect defects in olive oil : “”It is essential that we make people understand the oil at a younger age,”” he said.
In this sense, and given the success of the first pilot call, the Olive Center is already working on organizing a new program, this time dedicated exclusively to children.
